Who I am

I was born in the past century in Antignano (LI) but  I’ve lived my first 11 years of life in Pescia (PT).

The origin of my family is Siena, but the family’s line which I come from moved to the country around Firenze  at the beginning of 1800.

My paternal grandmother was from Pescia.

On mother’s side, as regards my grandmother, places of origin are Livorno; as regards my grandfather are Versilia.  Such a mixture of origins so I feel Tuscan above all, instead of being  tied to a country or to another. I however prefer the country to the sea, because the first gives me peace and the second strikes fear into me,  in certain events: both however can offer such wonderful performances that no paintbrush can totally never  portray.

For nearly 40 years I’ve been primary-school teacher…now I have a rest!

I’ve always loved painting but I never understood if I’m able to do it or not. I also delight in writing  poetries and little essays, always with the same doubt.

My best friend is Pinocchio, perhaps because we have passed our childhood together or perhaps for special affinities that I avoid to list. The only thing that separated us was the fear of  “Carabinieri”, but there is a reason: the man in the photo below and in the picture on the left (perhaps...) is my paternal grandfather, Luigi Malevolti.
